Wait wait wait... did you use bitcoin as an example of virtual currency going wrong?
Petition to change Diablo game's name to Simpson's Game
Y’a know, some dictators probably did play video games. Just RTS’s, though.
Old school runescape: we will take care of them till they can get back on their own feet.
Are we talking about Plague.co
Me: would it be mercenaries 2? Half as interesting: *doesn’t mention mercenaries 2* Me: *disappointment*
Its almost like socialism predicted venezuela's economic collapse 🤔🤔🤔
Runescape has a better video to be made about Venezuela
Imma just see what game it is and then I'll crash a plane
At 3:36 why does he say they changed it to 1 million but he puts 100 million
Glad I decided to come to the comments before I wasted my time with clickbait
Clickbait
It is clickbait, but there is actually research in video games about economy. Tf2 would have been a better example
Hey Sam, include me in that one video u make every year along with everyone here.
"how a video game predicted Venezuela's economic collapse" - it used common sense, roll credits.
Venezuelans have started playing old school RuneScape to farm gold and sell it for US dollars instead of Venezuelan bolivars so that they can be less poor. Because of all of the Venezuelan RuneScape gold farmers, the price of gold has plummeted AND there organized crime in RuneScape. Venezuelan inflation has spread to RuneScape.
How Diabo 3 predicted the economic crisis in the Weimar Republic
Well, misleading title, But it's alright. The content is good enough to make up for it
I don't like people misleading my mother country's name
Inflation makes so much sense now! I should play more video games...
I like the jokes but having less of them would add to the video
IT would be cool if you explosión the economy of csgo or tf2
Should've done Tropico instead for the memes.

That game is boss
"Dictators should play more video games" Are you suggesting to play some Tropico?
roblox is having its own problem but far far far smaller
You had too many zeros in 1,000,000...
Next video: _video game predicts the stampede of 15,000 australian geese across north Texas_
Bruh, how couldn't have guess?
That's actually a 99900% inflation rate. 2% inflation: (102/100-1)*100 99900% inflation: (100,000,000/100,000-1)*100
Portal 2 is the future...brace yourselves for testing.
shit clickbait video
"one million" 100,000,000 LOL
But hey, you can earn some money while playing games.... Fortnie, are you taking sum notes?
gaia online had a problem with this as well
Yeah I know right as if a video game that uses real-life economic system is not affected by real-life economic system
Watched one of these with my brother, he couldn’t sit through 5 minutes
I thought this channel was better than crappy clickbait, apparently not
This should serve as a lesson that clickbait titles are bad. I get that you can draw correlations and you should but word it in the way you did
Experience playing the game: never did the gold thing, just hoarded it because I was a wee little child who was like "no mines" The villain in diablo 3 is just diablo. Unless you get the reaper of souls expansion, then you fight that b*tch Adria on the side and the main boss is an evil angel who wants to exterminate humanity because they were technically born from demons. Oh and the gold thing, more on that. Also don't hate on Haedrig for no shirt, he prolly in a tough spot from losing his wife. I don't play multiplayer often now, but sometimes I play with my family and we're all rich to the point of not knowing what to do with it because the money thing was a no and we still play. Also its surprisingly easy to find treasure goblins and they give you a heck ton too. Also the only thing worth spending any form of currency on is really the rifts and the random chance for good shit or like a few other random things. Still no use to spend the gold even tho its 2020, ohhh and the only time to actually buy things is in the first act when you have nothing so that you actually have gear like bracers because those aren't the most common things to drop and you wanna get ur armor up. -A diablo player...
Wait wait wait... so Diablo allowed for their in-game currency to be converted back into USDs?. Didn't they realize the potential for money-laundering and illegal trading that could be done using the game as intermediary?. This is legal kamikazee by Blizzard to have done that.
saying a latin american nation will do bad in economy is not a prediction. It's a natural law.
Not how predicting works
And now all the Venezuelans are playing runescape to make enough money to live, causing inflation in that game
The effect of hyperinflation in Diablo II was so notorious that the community didn't use gold to purchase items or services, but rather a specific ring that diablo would drop on a very specific scenario where he would spawn on the online overworld. Stone of Jordan I think it was.
correction of the title: "How games can simulate broken economies"
This is one of the many, many problems with diablo 3, yikes
5:25 you forgot about hungary, what a racist
At best, this seems to be a bad analogy. At worst it's straight capitalist apologetics.
And then path of exile threw gold totally out the window.
Sam dollars? More like Samnd dollars!
Friggin clickbait
“Won’t preform well on ALthe so I put it on a site you have to pay for so I get more money from you.” FTFY
Wow, lots of comments about the game actually didn't predict what happened...
Isn’t this what the USA is doing printing us out of our money problems which makes it worse
this sounds far too much like what happens when we print too much cash for stimulus packages
around 3:30 you say raised the limit to one million but the graphic shows 100,000,000
Gta 5...........
Predicting certain collapses of economies is easy: if it's communist it's gonna fail.

Anyone with a basic understanding of Communism could predict Venezuela's economic collapse.
3:28 you said a million but wrote 100,000,000 lol
Let the title go damn...i understood hyperinflation of real world🙂
This is a "prediction" in the same way that people claim The Simpsons predicted stuff.
ncs
The secret ingredient is communism.
Heyo Hungary had the biggest inflation with pengő and its price was so low that it was less valuable than the paper that it was printed on
Make sense.
How was this video not about runescape?
Basically a Zimbabwean loaf of bread
It also happened in Argentina in 2001 and it’s happening again because people keep the same socialist party 😔👍🏻
Nice, I didn't realize that people in Venezuela got their money by saying monsters and completing quests
Clickbait
3:28 1,000,000 units?
Except the root cause of Venezuela’s hyperinflation was socialism
Clickbait is how you get over 4,000 dislikes...
You did my boy dirty with that kirby jab
and here I thought he will be talking about Ghost Recon
They elected a socialist on top of an economy that already had high inflation. What could possibly go wrong? /s
And spiderman predicted corona
Mmmm you're stretching a bit there, ain'tcha?
Kim_jong_playz
"how a video game predicted nothing, and also there's more interesting stuff about virtual economies, but that would be too boring for you, so give me money before you can see it" there i fixed your title. srsly sad to see how far some of the nebula people are declining instead of sticking to the (originally pretty great) idea. wonder how half interesting misleading advertisement is in your jurisdiction and what youtube thinks about a competitor going from "you can also watch us for money instead of ads" to "you can see a clickbait teaser here and then pay us", maybe make a video about those topics....
Diablo III predicted a country's hyperinflation and World of Warcraft predicted a worldwide pandemic, what's next?
What is real life sink? DEA burning warehouse worth of stacked notes of drug money?
Imagine that, Bernie's shining example has a few issues...
Shows Diablo three with fortnite noble in the background and she’s better than me XD

yow i have an idea hyperinflate drugs
Not stronk
I started watching this video solely because I thought the game was Mercenaries 2. But that was more like GTA in real life Venezuela.
I was expecting mercineries 2
Your name is sam
I don't get it. How exactly did Diablo 3 predicted the collapse of Venezuela's economy? I feel like you started explaining but you lost the train of thought and forgot.
Tatte tattol. Ye bohat Pehle dekha tha. Who these mfkers who gives a shit. They want me to fish for them. Tsk tsk. Wink. Understand. Just a bunch of retarded mfkers. I would happy to kill. 🤣 He he he.
Sachin. Ladki hai. Pooh he she me ata hai. 🤣 Usko khud pata nahi hai. 🤣 Kyu be.
Jungle. Me. Potty ja raha hai ter khan. Me kya karu Bhosadike. 🤣 Mar jaye.
I predicted their economic collapse based on nothing but political ideology. Power to the people by giving all the people's power to the government right? Pyramid schemes are the best 😂
ill look far and wide over mountains and through valleys into caves and over fields to find how the heck this relates to Venezuela
