A French legation was built in Austin in 1841. Still stands today.
I'm so smart because the difference of a legation and a embass-
You should do one on how each area of the us became a state... like this one... especially az :)
Texas will forever be Mexican 🇲🇽
My 6 x grandfather was Dr Robert Irion. The first secretary of state of Texas.
Flag of Liberia
Yeah, that flag that you kept insisting upon using is called the Colonel James Long Flag, aka the “Jane Long” (all red), aka the Texas Navy Ensign, and was only a de facto flag that was used intermittently for only three years. Not to be confused with the Current National flag of Liberia, which has only 11 stripes compared to 13, this one was NEVER an official flag. You could’ve used the Burnet Flag or the actual Lone Star Flag, but you didn’t, and for that I am beyond critical of this video.
Try lying to the government using that reasoning and see how far that gets you
preparations for texas war of independence 2: " _we just like mexico again_ "
Dont lie answer honestly How many time have the flag of Chile and Texas confused you?
When I clicked on this I misread it and thought it said the Texas embassy to London. For some reason, I think that Texas still actually has an ambassador to the court of St James ( London)
Oh yeah sometimes you gotta take a break from murdering people in duels.
Graphics Designers make bad Vexilologists :P
The building in London that was the former Texas Legation (i.e. 'embassy') in St. James' Place is now a posh wine shop, there is a small brass plaque on the
Mexico and Texas the original Ross and Rachel they were on a break!!!!
Texit 2020
Genocide, that's the word you're looking for when describing what the US did to the Native Americans...
Texas has its own electric grid. Is food and energy independent. We should secede.
We're everywhere
No one was wearing powdered wigs in the 1830s. They went out of fashion with Louis XVI.
All the German states have delegations in Berlin.
And despite all our challenges in joining the us, we’re the most productive state
Washington is still a swamp except for the wigs and the Whigs.
Someone actually mentioned his hatred of national banks! Then they put him on the $20 federal reserve note...
Clickbait!
The Texas Administrative Codes (T.A.C. Rules) we STILL describe other U.S. states as "foreign" and other countries as "international" regarding banking commerce i.e. Kinda like the dream of succession is just barely out of reach. Till you realize all the Federal military bases and spending that happens and how you would replace that.
0:28 typical Mexicans start a job and take a siesta don't finish.
Your a freaking liar
It's not about being right it's about being willing to learn when you are wrong
4:03 😂 The joke itself + the delivery on “that would never happen” is just hilarious
Remember the Alomo!
Isnt that Liberia's flag?
You're just selling something.
Texian, but yes that would become Texan. But we started out as first Tejanos, and became Texians, then Texans.
Stop learning new skills that’s what I heard
I’m really smart, I finished this comment
I really enjoyed the legation side trip! Lol
Also, at least one of those countries that recognized Texas' independence reciprocated as there is still a place in Austin known as the French Legation. I haven't visited yet despite 2 decades here, but it is on my Stuff To Do In Austin One Day List.
Nice shout out to babish
I do know what a legation is and I'm feeling so smart right no-
i was watching binging with babish before
The funny comments are kind of funny. Until they go on and on and on. They aren’t that funny. Otherwise, the videos are interesting.
There may be a new embassy opening up in the future at this rate...
ALthe is suggesting me this when Texas sue other states
3:54 end my Missouri
I knew what a legation is and I'm offended A random millenial, 2020
1:25 That's not the flag of Texas. It looks more like the flag of Liberia. But it's not exactly that either, since Liberia's flag has only 11 stripes.
The building that was the French Legation in Texas survives in Austin and is still called "The French Legation." That would suggest that Texas would have had a legation in Paris, but I can't swear.
666k views Because Texas.
Maybe you should use the CORRECT Texas flag on this video
Doing wars about sovereign disagreements is tight!
you dont take graphic design class for flags, you take flag class for flags cuz many different rulez.
i feel u are using the liberia flag not texas flag
You know this is a good channel when the comments are as funny as the video. Unlike some, where the comments are just childish, vulgar, stupid gibberish.
Lol, DC is still a swamp with mosquitos and smells of sewage.
Well I guess I’ll pop over to Binging with Babish next
Texas is hands down the best state in the union. Dont mess with it and dont bring that liberal trash there either.
I’m halfway through writing a comment on writing how smart I am and I gotta say idk what a ligation is
🇱🇷
I love how you use the shittiest stock footage you can find. nice.
Florida has an embassy in DC too, still there right behind the White House
Lies are never okay, thumbs down 👎
What he said: Texas... Embassy... blah, blah, blah What I heard: JUSTIFICATION FOR CLICKBAIT
So we’re just skipping the whole thing that the reason why Texas left because Mexico ended slavery in 1829 but white people wanted to keep slavery
Living on the NI/RoI border I feel personally attacked, good job 😂
ayo talk show host talking to me condescendingly like he knows what my tastes are , psh unreal bud. Oh whats that Alex? i got the daily double? make it a true one bro bc this is all truth
Imagine if Texas continued as a nation? Built on pride from liberation and a shit ton of oil?
Sexas
2:10 It still is a “Hot swamp” LOL
0:52 Me from Texas: What is this, Liberia? ( 🇱🇷 )
Idk these type of videos are kinda pointless now
“Texas would eventually become one of the United States, at least for now.” What do you know that we have yet to learn?
I actually learned about legation in high sch.... never mind😳
* Texas’s
I dont even know what an Embassy is...
Don’t even talk about the Alamo 🙄😂😂
4:06 bruh
Bricks are very interesting make a video on them and use a different subject to distract the NSA
Must you include all those corny jokes?? Kinda ruins it for me
“Texas’ Embassy in DC” Cool I need to watch that “Texas’ Legation in DC” What the fuck is a legation? I gotta watch that
There's no conflict between Ireland and Northern Ireland. There's a conflict between Ireland and the UK or, if you prefer, there's a conflict in Northern Ireland.
tfw you don't know what embassy is
Sam Houston, the president of Texas, was an adopted Cherokee. I doubt we expelled any Native Americans. Houston was trying to get them their own land.
I'd have watched it to find out because I'd have wanted to know. I think Spongebob is crap and wouldn't have watched that other shit at all.
I like the babish plug
That’s the flag of Liberia
I'm from TexS and you wasted 4:30 minutes of my life pay app the tax bucko
Gee, I forgot to mention your amazing unexpected video endings, you always catch me and make me smile, smile with a grin on your face way. ; ) C.
I love your sarcastic way, with a grin on your face way, of calling them out. I like your style mister! Thank you for your excellent content, delivered in such few minutes...I sometimes have to stop and rewind, you speak very fast for someone who's native language isn't English lol!. Namaste. C.
Texas: Byeeee Mexico: WE WERE ON A BREAK
Don't know what that flag is, but it is not Texas's.
The fight wasn’t between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. It was WITHIN Northern Ireland. FFS!
Today I learnt that Texas was once a part of Mexico and that it was also its own country.
“Conflict between Ireland and nothern Ireland” Why would that ever happen😂
You can make your own flag on Skillshare.. Stop giving the CHAZ ideas
How many skill share spongers are we going to have? Half as Interesting: YES
As a Texans, this was great! The shade, I love it!
OMG I just watched binging with babish before this video and when you said that..... I felt so violated.
That flag you showed wasn’t the republic of Texas’ National flag. That flag represented their navy. That would be like saying the U.S. navy’s flag is the flag that represents the whole nation, which isn’t the case
yee-haw
