small correction. a nimitz class aircraft carrier is worth around 13 bil usd. you could therefore buy a quarter not half

theoretical question: would it be illegal to steal a plane from the graveyard?
Never thought I’d see a video on this channel about my area of Cali 😂
787K views. Noice
this looks like a video that could be uploaded to wendover productions
The 747 is a sexy plane sad to see them seating there waiting to die 😞
@3:50..... No now British Airways has 0 B747's.... They retired them all due the idiotic Covid-19
This is 777k views at the moment.
Hear y'all lets steal all those planes
And used airccraft cost less
YO IM FROM VICTORVILLE, NOBODY TALKS ABOUT US
That's where I was raised
There is nothing I hate more than airplane graveyards, maybe except for the devil. I rlly feel sad seeing planes just be left to die
Soooooo you basically can steal planes

What's the difference of the boneyard at Victorville, CA and the one at Tucson, AZ? Different type of aircraft? Is Tucson a permanent graveyard?
It is also a former US Air Force base. I was stationed there in the early 90’s
I worked at the Boeing facility across the runway and it’s freaky seeing them while working on their hangars
These vids starting to sound a lot like that wendover guy
The Victorville Airbase also hides a secret town of slouching, yellow monster men, known as Thistlemen.
This must be so sad for Sam.
“These 15 Boeing 747s are worth 3.5 billion dollars which can get you more than 3 Boeing 747s” lmao
I wonder how many of those planes are hoping for a nuclear winter
No mention of firefighting jets?
Grave-robbers have hit the jackpot
Why leave perfectly good planes in the Mojave Desert? To make sure Mr House can use them after the apocalypse in a little over 57 years
So that answers wy in GTA San Andreas there's a airplane graveyard
Verdant meadows from GTA SA?
I tried going here this summer and we had to go on some crap dirt roads to get up to the fence. we ended up not going close enough and getting a nail in 2 different tires and we had to get new ones lol
My backyard is open.. 🤷♂️
What is a md10 you mean md11 or dc10 thats a major typo
M V
3 muaj më parë
Andy Matthew the dc10 is the original trihauler, md10 is dc10 with updated cockpit and engines, md11 is complete update of the whole airframe
Note to self: Add Victorville, CA to list of potential destinations in case of an apocalypse.

Thanks for recognizing our city.
im not an airline and i don't have any money but i would love to buy the last Qantas 747
Yo literally I live in Victorville and I passed by the airport
Learned about this on mythbusters
Cargo Airlines love old planes.
Where I grew up, we didn't need aircraft.' Edit: In case you didn't get it, I grew up there.
RIP N108WD. You will be missed
So that’s how the boomers got so many planes!
0:53 How can you tell the different??? Its look the same to me.

if i retire to a desert i cant use brilliant because i would have no internet because i dont pay for data lol
0:54 Damn
plus two other *DISGUSTING* non-747 aircraft whoa there chill
Sorry to tell ya British Airways Retired all of its 747s. They have been put in storage and probably will never come back out.
Happy to know that sam is a boeing guy.
I have to say, I will do everything in my power to access some of these Boneyards. I hope that they’re not restricted, as that would be the shitist thing ever. Even a car wreckers will let you go and see the cars.
the airport is also called SCLA southern california logistics airport. boeing has an engine testing site along with custom aircraft modification site at the airport. there is also a airframe scholl there where students learn how to work on these aircraft. this is also where boeing is storing some of the defective 737's and fixing them as well. Many airlines are storing aircraft there during covid. all sorts of really cool aircraft right now including qantas A-380's. i go past there every other day and always see something new. boeing has an engine test platform parked there. it's a 747 with upto 3 different types of engines attached to it.
Wasnt Mexico's Presidential Airplane here??
you could also wait for one of your airplanes to crash, and replace it with one from here
0:54 THIS, is a man of TOTAL culture
3 ways they could use the a abounded aircraft military
Lol thats my city
Ayy. I lived in Victorville for years Crazy I just found your channel watched like 7 videos and ended up on one where I spent half my life .
We may have a Courier situation.
I bet those non-747 planes are A340s
They are in a better place now
FedEx still has an MD-10 from 1972, registration N550FE
Correction: Fuel isnt a cost any more, it is a source of income now.
This reminds me of the Disney movie My Science Project. 1985.
If Australia have such large areas of desert, why do they even need to send their outdated planes to elsewhere for storage?
Imagine going to this graveyard, as a plane. Heh heh heh. Remember the great. *pumps gas into dead planes* *Planes come alive*
Nellis air force base
Me, looking in the comments for fans of Alice Isn't Dead
So they could make scrapyard for Activision, duh
Victorville STILL doesn’t even have a chick-fil-a, trust me, I’ve tried to find one

Every time I drive 2 hours over there for work, 4 days a week I have never seen one there.
So, they retire their planes in the land of macOS 10.14?
Why do they leave them in the Mojave Desert? So you don't have to patrol and wish for a nuclear winter on foot.
It would be cool to go there and check out all of the planes
2 of those "747s" are Airbus with 5 APUs

What are on about? 5 APUs😂😂
"capitalism juice" communists use tears and blood to make their cars go
I lived in Victorville and loved it.
The picture of the gas draining is actually oil from a car ore something because gas holding area do not have drain plug (the tiny hole that drains out the oil that you can fit a bolt in).
Why dont they give it to me, i would have a 747 in my backyard
Wait so this isn't Wendover?
None 747 planes are disgusting

Plot twist they don’t die
Its called Flyable Storage, there are a lot of airplanes that are in Flyable Storage while others are taken apart for parts to keep other airplanes flying. One of the problems a company I worked for had the last two Volpar Beech 18's on the registry and they were taking parts off of one to keep the other one flying and it was a losing battle.
I wonder if they do tours around the graveyard
This makes me cry, one day they'll fly again....... WITH MY AIRLINE ÒWÓ
already knew about all of this from alice isnt dead but thanks for the visuals for my next rewatch ^.^
I dont care they dont have a airport for me i live in cali i can drive
Planes worst nightmare- to fly over that yard
Sometimes, I feel like THIS IS something I have seen before. Can't seem to remember it.
MD-10?
Ayyy I live in victorville :)
This airport is also storing grounded Southwest 737 Max planes plus other jets grounded due to coronavirus. Packed house!
*disgusting*
The whole information you provided is so incorrect. airplanes get to the Boneyard because after certain amount of hours flown they require overhauling which may not be so sufficient anymore for an older plain. it's never about the fuel. companies don't care about fuel. After all fuels expenses are on consumers.
Patrolling the Mojave makes you wish for a Nuclear Winter
Sometimes I wish I knew that "infinite_fuel" cheatcode in order to keep those beautiful 747s alive.
doesn't matter now that the oil price have crashed
now - USE EXPRESSVPN a few weeks ago - Use Nordvpn
I just dont understand why these plains are not stripped to nothing as allmost everything from it is recycling meterial..
“... I... cry. When Airplanes deserve to DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEREE”
Whenever I hear ‘Mojave’ I feel like going out on a patrol and wishing for a specific season.
And, if your wondering where people go to die, that would be Newark airport.
Amazon might buy them
