Likewise British diplomats don’t have to pay fines, fees, or taxes in the US. This isn’t a one way street. They do it all the time when they are in New York. The US abides by the treaties and ignores what foreign diplomats do while here. Officers are taught to not ticket cars bearing diplomatic markers.

It’s kinda weird because here in London my uncle who is the rich Captain of industry idgaf type just parks his cars and drives his cars wherever and however, racks up a million tickets and fines and just forgets about them. On occasions some of his cars will be towed and the release fee would also include the amount owed on ticket penalties, often valued more than the cars itself, so he just tells them to keep it. Probably calls an Uber afterwards. So what is it Boris Johnson, is it a TAX or a FINE???!!
