Ya right , BILDERBERG is what raises the prices
Am I going crazy or is this the voice actor from @ownage pranks?
Did he profit off the trade?
I guess thats a forward contract not future... corn example
At the end, it turns out it was market manipulation and being "drunk" is just an excuse, trying to look innocent. But that is not as interesting, I guess. So, ignore the court, take him at his word and make a ALthe video.
efficient market hypothesis BTFO
This is not that interesting overall change is less than 3%. Oil price can range like this every day. This guy could easily been in profit in a week.
Wait, there is also sober trading?
4:31 nice
can anyone explain why he was punished for simply buying futures? i dont understand how he comitted a crime by doing with futures what they are made for- buying them
This is why normies will be automated out of the workforce.
Buy high, sell drunk
Who else loves all the random names for alc**ol?
trading should be never illegal. "market manipulation my ass" if he held 69% of the oil market, he is the market and can do whatever he wants...
When I'm drunk I mess up up
I'll make sure all the oil in my car curses like an angry sailor from now on sounds dope I'll just tell people it has tourette's
This video is like disguised fake news.
Did he make a profit or a loss off his drunken purchase tho?
Time to buy back into oil?
There are individuals who can influence the economy on the same magnitude as major conflicts, by a c c i d e n t.
Meanwhile in haiti 1 gallon cost equal $10
Nice video but the 72,000 pounds fine with the $ sign in front of it was annoying lol
theres no way he was really drunk, 72000$ fine is nothing to guys like him.. pocket change.. specially when the "mistake" likely made billions.. like come on.. open your eyes, obvious scam

I may be drunk at the moment but I'm pretty sure what you described between you and the farmer is a "forward" not a "future". A "future" is when these deals are standardized and traded publicly, while your deal with the farmer was private.
£72,000 but it showed $72,000 at 5.07
Who made money off of his trades?
good old pump and dump. bitcoin does it best.
Future joke, was the highlight
God damn loch Ness monster
Bruh this happened on my birthday
How did you manage to get any corn from an imaginary farmer???
That bus joke really had me laughing pretty hard.
Firstly, who's money did he spend, secondly, what happened to all that oil!
I mean... Guys... do you seriously believe this story?. A guy took actions to drive the cost of oil upwards while working for an oil company. Convenient. He was found committing a tremendous financial crime. He was fined 72K pounds. Which is probably what made in a month. and given to pay it in 32 instances. Convenient. He wanted to retire, the company offered him a juicy retirement bonus if he did some dirty business for them, and the firm earned a huge profit from the artifical market manipulation he had done.
I don't get why he did was illegal. He was basically retail trading with a lot of money
It bothers me more than I can describe that his name is "Perkins" and you pronounce it "Perkings"
oh no i did it again
I did this I did it. I did.
He could just have sold all the oil again for a higher price afterward. that's just genius.
Most expencive booze ever.
If I could stay at home, I'd be drunk for all of my trades. Maybe I'd be a millionaire by now
Ah but yes, economics is a science and market movements are perfectly natural :) human interference just ruins it :)

You missed the most important part of this story!!!! What was his P/L for that day? Lol or maybe it of been his brokerage's profit/loss % of $
What a day! I shorted Oil yesterday, made around 1$ profit per barrel
This has to have been made while you where drunk
5:08 "72,000 Pounds" Proceeds to use the dollar sign.
Firing squad
Task failed successfully
0:27 people in late 2020: 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
I've done worse!
This is why the entire stock market is a joke that enriches the wealthy and screws over the poor.

@Colton Smith I don’t see stocks ruining lives. I see them leading to huge innovation and the ability for successful ideas to expand. The real issue is the government over regulating every section of the economy, killing off new startups with licensing fees, taxes and red tape.

@Colton Smith what you own is a part of the business, not what they make. Essentially it is a part of the profits - but in reality it’s only a part of the dividends payed out with profits. But that’s fine, places like Amazon don’t pay a cent in dividends. Instead, they reinvest everything back into their business. Now stocks are a real ownership, a company can’t just take back their stocks without compensation. It’s not the ownership of the goods that company produces. On the flip side, you don’t need to pay a cent more after buying that stock.

@Colton Smith no, I’m saying smaller corporations wouldn’t exist. Big corporations can exist without the stock market - in fact it would probably work better for them. With it being far too hard to start a larger business, the corps would have very little competition. There is no problem with stocks, you just sell a part of your business. Much like a apartment might sell a room or a storage place might sell a garage.

@Zach B so what you're saying is that without the stock market, giant corporations that exploit millions of workers for the benefit of a few at the top wouldn't exist? You also don't sell parts of your business. Nothing trades hands. None of the stocks traded are real. I can't buy Apple stock and then go grab an iPhone, because what I "own" is imaginary. I'm glad you like the stock market, and I'm glad it's worked for you, but don't try to defend it and act like it's this great thing. It's a terrible thing that has ruined countless lives and only contributes to income disparity and poverty.

@Colton Smith no one makes money from casinos, it always takes more than it gives. But you do make money from the stock market, 7-10% is your average yearly return on stocks.
"so uhh... yeah, i was that guy who umm... bought 500,000,000$ of oil..."
imagine waking up, oil prices are 1.50 more, and then find out it was you after a night at the bar.
4:32 ;)
So coming from the future, he saved them billions of dollars
“3 is a magic number” yes!!!
How did it end though? Did he sell his oil for profit went even or lost millions? Don’t leave us with a cliffhanger
“Since finance bros seem to only be able to fail upwards ...” sad but true
Hey i wasnt that drunk
How is Alcohol the devils water? Its the blood of christ!
I want to buy some future corn
Wanna see something nice? 4:32
drunkenly spoofed the oil market
Isn't BILL Perkins an oil trader and known gambler? :D
Nice
How is it illegal to manipulate the market when the the government and banks do it all the time
Wait you're the same person that does the Wendover videos. How did I not realise that
So... how exactly did he do this? Or do the manipulation? That seems like pretty key information.
Wonder if this Perkins is related to the poker player Perkins that made a billion trading oil futures?????
HAI and Wendover are the same guy? awesome
К А Р А М Е Л Ъ future
That was the funniest video you’ve ever made 😊 lol no sarcasm, I loved it.
Wait so has someone actually tried to deliver goods to a futures trading company if they held onto the future too long?
So my price of gas went up from a drunk?
It seems so dumb that he was fined for that, like, he just bought *alot* of stuff
I guess he died of alcohol poisoning from all the booze the Venezuelans must have sent him after they learned what he had done.
Should have forced him to commit some sort of societal/professional seppuku publicly to make him an example to the rest.
So basically that fine means that buying while drunk is illegally manipulating the marker?
so... he made loads of money.. no?
r/WSB at it again
How was the Marshall islands?
why he didn´t just run naked on the streets singing "I´m a Jedi Master" like a normal person would do?
aa fuck i spent 500 mil by trading oil last night again i should stop drinking
4:33 Nice
"bingo bango bongo"
The video shows 72000 Dollars and you spoke 72000 pounds
The moral of the story is: If you're rich, you only get richer.. his "fine" is ridiculous.. that's pretty much his pocket money..
