If you lived where I lived you would appreciate AR-47s even if you lived in a city they are great and most gun violence is done by hand guns because who carries a giant gun to commit crimes that’s not suspicious

@Brian Rouleau Yeah the second amendment remark was pretty stupid... How are recent events looking to you, between COVID related supply shortages, a struggling economy, rioting, looting, and abolished/demoralized and hampered police forces? Still think owning a gun is a bad idea?
Mississippi Reb

@Brian Rouleau lol and the rioters are right? Lol
Oop, the second ammendment
I visited Mackinac Island with my family a couple years ago, and biked around the whole island on the highway. It's a fun place.
He lost a lot of respect with that joke. Lmao
Sorry I’m late to the game but Chris Reeves wasn’t the first Superman George Reeves and Kirk Alyn both came earlier.
Macinaw also has really good fudge!
And I read Mile as Milf jeesh.
*Chris reeves wasn’t the first superman*
Then why did that one view of the island have cars on it ?
Jake Kenney
Ditë më parë
Because they’re not cars
you forgot service vehicles for deliveries, repair, building, etc....
Jake Kenney
Ditë më parë
Everything is horse-drawn. I lived on the island for a year. We got restaurant deliveries via carriage. Tractors for construction, maybe...if there was construction. Almost every building was built over a hundred years ago. The golf course doesn’t even have carts...
4:10 - Christopher Reeve was absolutely not the first actor to portray Superman. That would be Kirk Alyn, THIRTY years earlier in 1948. George Reeves played Superman in 1951 as well. Both of them were before Christopher Reeve was even born.
It’s like saying a house that is illegal to live in🤣
Jake Kenney
Ditë më parë
There are a couple of those on the island too
Ummm, actually it's Christopher REEVE, not Reeves. You said it at least twice, so it wasn't a verbal typo. Gawd.
I’ve been and it’s a beautiful place. Rode a bike around the entire island and it was a really nice break from the normal reality we all live in.
One thing to remember about the second amendment is that it was written when all firearms needed to be reloaded between shots, which took ages. These were not weapons an individual would ever be able to use to shoot up an entire club. It's not obvious that the founding fathers would have written it the same way, or at all, had their times had weapons that can fire 20 bullets a minute instead of one.
super man does not like the law therefore, super man will do what super man wants
Silly leftists! The 2nd amendment is what guarantees the 1st amendment. 🤦♂️
Can you ride a motorcycle?
Jake Kenney
Ditë më parë
No
George reeves played superman in the 1950's!
*drives a truck instead*
There is an Island of where I live (Perth, Australia) with a similar ban, no Private cars. Rottnest. if you know it at all, its probably from quokka selfies. There is ambulance, police, ranger, delivery vans, n a couple of buses. n they are electric where possible. Its *really* nice, such a chill vibe. also very few private residences, N they are all attached to a job position, and only those deemed essential 24hr jobs. Doctor, Sergent, Ranger, Baker, Bloke Who Runs The Sewerage Plant. all the 'service' jobs are from the mainland. and there are a couple hundred cottages n tent sites, I think for about 5,000 people. everyone is on holiday and relaxed. easily one of my favorite places. although it does adhere to the 'everything in australia is trying to kill you' philosophy if you treck off the main loop road. most everything is spiky, poisonous or insanely flammable. in various combinations. spent alot of summer holidays out there as a kid just exploring old gun emplacements (was a WW1 fortification, there are some that are all touristified, but MANY resumed by the bush) or trying to hunt pheasant with a spear (only wild population i know in Aus). I really want to try pheasant. its a hard to not want to bring a shotgun over, but the fines for a firearm in an A class reserve are redonkulous. also where I got my second worst jelly fish sting (dont touch them with your face. and even more important Dont Get Them Up Your Shorts. DONT. its a bad time). also the only place ive seen blue ring octopus or Portuguese man-o-war. Yep, its a lovely place ^.^ did I mention Quokkas? Soccerball sized wallaby things that are the chillest dudes ever. leave your backdoor open, they'll just wander in "hey guy, got some strawberrys? those things are great! especially with champagne! bit of cucumber, n some gin to swizzle it in? ooh watermelon?!? WHAT, wheres the vodka?". little fiends. cute tho.
I wonder if you address is on that island if you get rock bottom car insurance rates
The law says horseless carriages not cars
Jake Kenney
Ditë më parë
And yet there are no cars...

Then how come all other first world countries have free speech without guns?
Oh I forgot to say, walking or riding a bike on this highway you have to keep an eye out for horse crap piles. You know when a horse gotta go the horse gotta go. Too bad there's no horse outhouses there on the island that way they're be crap to navigate around. I seen the crap piles myself there being a Michigan resident tourist person myself.
You didn't mentioned in this video that the Chief of Police and the Fire chief has each their own cars. Last time I heard there is 400 people live on this island yearlong. So how these go shopping if so desired? They drive over the island on this highway or not across the water on a ice bridge to St. Ignace or fly to there from a small airstrip. As of this past summer 2020 parts of this highway is closed due erosion on the shoreline where is highway is at.
Jake Kenney
Ditë më parë
I lived on the island for a year. There are a couple stores on the island. Ya gotta walk or take a carriage. To get to the mainland in winter, you can take a snowmobile across the ice or fly. And yeah the lower lakes are record high so that wouldn’t surprise me
Literally I drive M-116 Everday and it literally is just a road LOL
The second amendment is good
Christopher Reeve drives up to the Grand Hotel in a sporty little convertible in the movie, not an old-timey car. I love Mackinac Island and have ridden a tandem bicycle on that highway on several occasions. We were there about 10 years ago and, I kid you not, we saw the Harlem Globetrotters there. They had been playing in Detroit and they came over to the island for the day and did a bunch of public appearances. We got to do some 19th century dancing with them. They seemed like nice young men and were very good sports about the whole thing. I felt for the guy who had to wear the Globey costume in the summer sun.
He wasn't the first actor to play superman
criticizing china and the second amendment? you play a dangerous game sir
This is a video about a highway where cars are banned... *NUMTOTs have entered the chat*
Scoot scoot time
I would take the domain IloveCars.com
If I would live there it would be a nightmare(because I really like cars)

I was wondering why this has so many dislikes... found my answer at 1:50 lmao
But- cars killed people- it actually was bad...
I Live in mackina
Michigan and roads have a rough relationship. Please don't judge us
Ah yes. Welcome to michigan where we come up with wacky new ways to run a road.
As of writing this Ihatecars.com is still available.
Trump broke the Ban and brought his motorcade to the island. It was big news. You didn't expect us to just ignore the blunder here did you?
Okay, there is something you're not telling us... I can't put my finger on it, but for some reason I think that the *big fuckoff airport* in the middle of the island almost definitively has motor vehicles. And while they may not run on this highway (making you technically correct) the line about 100% of the island having banned cars must surely be false. How else would they handle airport operations? I mean, ARFF arguably falls under the "emergency vehicles" exception, but all the other stuff... Do they have horse-drawn airstairs?!? Do they tow aircraft with horses?!?
Jake Kenney
Ditë më parë
QemeH there literally might be one plow and lawn mower. You said “horse-drawn chairs and tow trucks. None of those since the biggest airplanes are too small for rolling stairs. The biggest jet might be an occasional Gulfstream and those have built in stairs. Edit:after a bit of googling I don’t even think there are any jets that land on the island. Just small prop planes and helicopters
QemeH
Ditë më parë
@Jake Kenney Okay, let's start with the easy ones: How do they remove snow and ice from the runway in the winter? I doubt that they shovel over 11k feet of asphalt by hand. Or do they just close the airport when it snows? Same goes for the grass that is at FAA regulation height around the runway. Does the entire island's population help with their scythe? I'm not saying there have to be huge trucks or anything, but I'm 100% sure they have at least small, one-seater vehicles.
Jake Kenney
Ditë më parë
Dude it’s like a little airstrip, not an international airport. It’s for transportation mainly in the winter since the lake freezes and small private aircraft. My uncle landed his little plane on it actually. They don’t even have golf carts at the golf course...
Billiveoa has a really dangerous road
This guys not that smart I’ve been to mackinaw several times and whenever you’re there there is always construction trucks and cars all over the island how do u think anything gets built?
Jake Kenney
Ditë më parë
Rex Boyce well yeah that would be weird because unless they’re for emergencies it’s illegal. I worked in a restaurant in Mission Point Resort, probably one of the latest establishments on the island and everything was delivered via carriage.
Rex Boyce
Ditë më parë
Jake Kenney I’ve been there multiple times Everytime i do there are multiple pickup trucks around the island ( we assumed for maintenance or repairs ) but we always would point them out to each other and say we thought there were no cars here🤷
Jake Kenney
Ditë më parë
You mean tractors that aren’t allowed on highways? I lived on the island for a year, everything is horse-drawn, even mail delivery. Plus almost nothing gets built most of the buildings were built before cars were invented
So some people are triggered by a second amendment joke lol

Yeah it’s a novelty in America. It’s kind of cool that it’s on an island though. The whole place feels of old. The fort on the island was actually occupied by the British to defend against the French.

I was going to make a snarky comment about outmoded, archaic laws like the 1st Amendment, but then I remembered they don't believe in freedom of speech now either.
Wait till you hear about the highways made for ski doos and quads in northern and eastern Quebec.

I know they aren't cars, but snowmobiles are allowed on The Island too.
Someone ought to drive there GTA style.
if i could id get my car onto the island and drive around the island at max speed just to piss everyone off
The first actor who portrayed Superman? He's not even the first Reeves who portrayed Superman!
But no one said anything about go-karts ;)
Me, from Michigan, reading the title before watching, “So what? We have a highway with no cars.”
Yea floor here is not made not out of floor
what kind of monster mentions mackinaw island without mentioning its fudge
There’s never been a time more relevant than now for the 2nd amendment.
All I would say to u about ur 2a joke and yes it was funny but talk to the 100000 people who lives r saved every year. Not to mention all the rapes that have been stopped.
Ben Henocq
Muaj më parë
@James Priest Crap analogy, because Japan was days away from surrendering. The US dropped 2 nuclear bombs on them because they wanted use the bombs they had spent so much time developing. There were no lives saved by dropping the bombs, but there were 100,000 civilian lives that were ended.
James Priest
Muaj më parë
@Ben Henocq I'm not talking spree but day to day. I'm unwilling to give up a rights to save a life because in doing so u cost many many more plus and more importantly u have lost some liberty. Government uses the term to save lives a lot and the cost is lives themselves plus freedom. Look at it this way people talk about the us dropping atomic bombs on Japan as is it was a bad thing. It was not it was a good thing why u ask because the 250 thousand that died saved millions. The cost to invade would have been 8 to 10 million Japanese plus 1 to million Americans. There r by far more lives saved by the gun then taken. I was using being condescending with using wokeness. Using the term developing nations.
Ben Henocq
Muaj më parë
@James Priest Where’s the racism?
James Priest

@Ben Henocq plus dont racist.
Ben Henocq
Muaj më parë
@James Priest the point is the tool makes the evil too easy. Sure, the UK has a lot of stabbing sprees, but they have less mass stabbing a per capita then the US has mass shootings. And one mass shooting can easily kill dozens in minutes, where as a stabbing spree can only get about 2 people
Michigan: the state with the motor city, a city with a ban on cars, and where we stole a piece of wisconsin because we got bitter over losing toledo, where we have shit, and only shit sports teams, and deer on our flag
I’ve been there it’s fun and cool
Ik no one cares, but I've been to tha Island
Next up: pedestrian sides banned for pedestrians
I'll trade you the 2nd Amendment for the 19th
So I live in Michigan and it’s a pain in the ass to bike around mackinaw
" or the second amend-" Me grabs my AR
I want all cars to be replaced by urban rail!
i find it a little amusing how people thought the 2nd amendment was bs in January, scary how fast that can change, even in California. everyone wants guns now
Yeah you really shouldn't have said that...
I love how there's a bunch of rather pointless distractions but the video is still less than 10 minutes.
Sweet ima ban cars in new york
2:01 *I just did a bad thing... I regret the thing I did*
Second amendment... good one. i'm with you.
_"While most highways go to dangerous places like Hell, or the Danger zone."_ The comedy on this channel is next-level.
"you fell asleep hours ago and you're computer is on auto play" that's literally the first time I watched this video
Christopher Reeves was not the first actor to play Superman
This is why it’s illegal to honk your horn near a horse while driving
If the law specifically says just cars doesnt that mean you could bring a motorbike into the island?
hate to burst your bubble.... but there were other cars on the island during the filming of Somewhere In Time. also there are service trucks on the island that really no one sees.
Me, driving a horse wagon: Saddle up boys! We only got two speeds: fast... n' faster! YEEEEEHAAAAWWWW!!!!!

Hang on a minute! Christopher Reeve wasn't even close to being the first actor to portray Superman! Not counting the several actors who portrayed him on the radio, or the voice of the animated movie serials (Bud Collyer), Kirk Alyn was the first actor to portray superman (in person) on the silver screen! He played the superhero on the silver screen way back in 1948 or so. Shortly after the George Pal TV production of Superman starred George Reeves. Then Christopher Reeve played in the movie at the vanguard of the high budget superhero movie genre. Someone else may have already mentioned this, but I wasn't about to read though 1726 comments to find out. Thanks fro the great video anyway.
The 2 things my state Michigan is known for is Mackinac island and Detroit :(
