Have you ever been deposed for spending $22 million on a party? Let me know below. Do you have any HAI topic suggestions? Let me know here: If we use your suggestion, we'll send you a free HAI t-shirt! Speaking of topics, some people have pointed out that this one has been covered by another ALthe channel. This topic came in via our suggestion form, but I imagine the person who suggested it could have seen that video. Normally I search to see if any similar channels have tackled the same topic, but I guess this time I just didn't... Looks like that channel has done a few we did first too, which kinda just shows how it's inevitable if you cover similar things and make enough videos. I try to avoid topic overlap, but I'm not too annoyed if others do this as long as the videos aren't actually plagiarized. Nobody owns a topic.

Lmao this makes it sound like the only thing shah ever did was to throw a party. The Shah of Iran DID help the people of Iran. This is well documented through, free quality education, free universal healthcare, free public transportation and subsidized essentials (apart from other developments). This type of reporting sounds biased.

I enjoyed the video, but that's a complete lie about Raycon ear buds! I bought some because I trusted another YT "r that I followed. And I was gravely disappointed. I get it, you need to get paid, but lying to your subs by saying these are just as good as others that cost twice as much is not a stretch, it's bold face lie! I bought some sony SP700n extra bass for $69.99 and they are easily 3X better than the Raycons. Just research your product before you lie to people.

The western countries did not want to see a modern Iran, they wanted Iran to be like Arabi, so Shah was blamed by western Medias because of the event. After this they start making plans to overtrue Shah and he's regime and work on Khomeini, finally in 1979 they did that by making a fake revolution they removed Shah from power and bring Khomeini in to the power, after that the world never had any securitys in Middle East. Do you know why Shah chosen Persepolis the place of celebration? Because Cyrus the Great founded Persepolis so that the leaders of the world could come to that place to exchange ideas instead of war and bloodshed, and the Shah did the same, because the wish of Cyrus the Great had not yet been fulfilled, because Persepolis after 300 years of building It took a long time, when it was ready to do so, Alexander the Great came and set it on fire, in fact the king fulfilled Cyrus' wish. Persepolis was the first United Nations of world. And no one talks about this. I love Shah, he was like the Cyrus the great. He was removed from power because no one wants to hear from Cyrus the great. The history is better with Alexander the great. And the idea of bringing the leaders of the world in one place in a friendly way is too dangerous for whoever runs the world war and bloodshed Wich is the fake reality of our world.

Consider this: - The summer Olympic games in Tokyo carries a price tag of $25 BILLION!! - The World Cup tournaments cost $12 BILLION! - The Presidential inaugurations in the US costs up awards $200 million! - The wedding of Prince Charles and Diana cost $110 million! And you're suggesting that a wealthy, ancient country should not spend roughly around $110 million for the celebration of its 2500th anniversary? A celebration that was an investment in a huge PR event that would earn the $110 million spent, back and more, in no time at all...? After the event, there was a huge surge in foreign investment in Iran, trade deals and contracts of all sorts, and tourism! The tent city earned back what it cost and much more from tourism the price of tickets sold. So lucrative was it that the Islamic Republic chose to renovate the place and open it up to tourists again, after having neglected it for decades! A country is like a brand name... and you have to market it as such! From CAIS (Cirlce of Ancient Iranian Studies): "The figure of US$22.5 million as the cost for the 2500th anniversary of Iran's history. This cost included many other constructive projects such as expansion of Iran's roads and airports, communication networks, tourist resorts and hotels, schools, health clinics, as well as the introduction of numerous seminars and conferences around globe on Iran's past. The exhaustive list of those projects can today be a valuable book for future generations. If the costs incurred for the 2500th anniversary of Iranian nation's history was to be replaced by a public relations, advertising and marketing activities on a global scale to reach the public that the celebrations had reached -- to promote Iran and attract foreign investors as well as the wealth tourism brings to a country, the above figure could have not even cover a public relations cost in a dozen European countries." CAIS (The Circle of Ancient Iranian Studies) You're greatly mistaken to think that it was the 2500th celebration that caused the revolution! It had absolutely nothing to do with it! Most Iranians took great pride in it and had no issues whatsoever over it, except your regular radical Islamists, communists, terrorists, and leftist-liberals. What caused the revolution was a conspiracy of foreign elements who took advantage of a sudden super-inflation caused by the oil boom, which caused price hikes of goods, foods and services.

Wait, so the video claims that an extravagant party held EIGHT years earlier sparked the Iranian Islamic Revolution? Not a very convincing cause and effect. It may have been one example of how the ruling monarchy was out of touch with the populace and led to disaffection ripe for overthrow, but saying it was direct cause is really overselling its impact.

  • Alexander Christopher

It definitely contributed very much into it. Imagine if the money spent on the party were spent elsewhere that would benefit the people more, the revolutionaries wouldn’t have any thing to blame the Shah. 8 years is not enough to see the whole results of that 22 million investment, but you can see some results which would pacify the people’s demands for revolution temporarily.
