The boofet
Not a terrible mistake because a giant oligarchical corporation lost a lot and customers gained!!!! AS IT SHOULD BE!!!! TAKE THE STREETS AND KILL THE ELITES
“Boofey”
Well umm... I was wondering if this is the same guy from Wendover Productions running this channel?
Who is to say Rothstein got a bad deal? No one knows the settlement.
Wait can’t u just live on the airplane for the rest of ur life without paying for rent or food
Lifetime----- passs----- bruh this would be passed down from generation to generation lol
Rothstein : i've flown 16 million kilometres in my life Einstein : congratulations! You have grown 50 seconds younger than everyone else
How hard is it to scroll down just the first part of the comments and realize you don't need to type "boofay". It's already been taken care of.... Hundreds of times
Mark is the goat!
How many flights would you need to match the cost of the air pass? I'd imagine at least over 150.
I remember when Coca-Cola realized that their name in Japan translated as "Bite the wax tadpole". Love it.
The more time you spend on the air, the high probability you would have an accident in the air and say goodbye to your good deal.
Maybe if they color their aircraft maybe we can reconsider.
Not really. Unless first class gets fully booked and one slot went to him, then it is a loss. Otherwise, the cost of flying and feeding him is tiny. fraud is wrong though
Eat ur fingers off.. They surely used google translator.
Seems like genius. No one can fly now
Honestly, I don't know how you can enter the plane under a false name. I mean, it is possible if you use only the automatic door, but most of the flights I've been don't have that. You need to show your ID and they clear check if it matches. Also, the airline is not losing any money. Yes, they could have sold the seat to other people, but they received upfront for the card, therefore, it is like they already got paid. Other than that, the plane was going to take off anyway, it is not like they need to pay extra for the fuel, for the staff, for the plane. The only thing they need to cover is the taxes.
I don't think American Airlines making mistakes by offering free flight pass.Who would like to buy and have the ability to pay 400k in 1987 for a life time pass? Not many.I want to see them
Damn. Anyone who jumped on that was crazy smart. 1 million though, damn. I’d be tempted.
They did not lose money.... the plane was going to the destination anyways..
I wanna know more about that painting can you make a video about it
Your comedy is weak and you're trying to jam it everywhere. Ease up and you'll have better videos.
plz stopping pronouncing buffet that way, thank you
I like the passive aggressive insult to modern art, those drippy paintings of nothing are getting real pricy
Boofay
names like Benedict Cumberbatch, names that no human would actually ever have.
Boo fay
They literally sold him a private jet with unlimited food, serving and pilot for 250,000 bucks
"Names no human being would have" A complete stranger: "Hi, I am Benedict Cumberbatch"
Sounds to me they pocketed the cash back in the 80s from 28 people and after 40 years they are complaining. They collected $400,000 x 28 = $11,200,000 in 1980 so adjusted for inflation about $36 million today 40 years later. What they fail to say is it doesn’t cost them much to allow folks flying on unsold seats. Only the food and amenities.
"Boo Fay"
Climate Change looking at this like WTF they where thinking??!!
was this video made possible by audible? or where u paid/sponsored by them? does that mean, if audible didn't pay/sponsor you, you wouldn't be making these vids? Does that mean, if audible does not pay you will you stop? wtf does "this video was made possible by audible"even mean? are u high? are u high on the big bucks?
🛑 They won’t have been loosing much if the planes had been flying with empty seats though, it only costs them in lost sales if they’ve stopped someone paying for the seat, and they bump people up to FC so often that hardly ever happens. Its not a mistake at all if they did it again is it? It’s just a fund raiser - if it stopped the company going under by giving a lot of cash in advance that was reinvested to make even more, I think you’ve made the mistake, calling it a mistake 😎
Say it like a pirate- Aarrrghpass!
Boof ay seriously buff ay
If I had 5 millions to spare, and a time machine to 2004, THIS is exactly what I'd buy. EDIT: NEVERMIND, SOME AIRLINES STARTED OFFERING THOSE THINGS TO SURVIVE COVID-19, NOW I JUST NEED THE CASH!
Ramenyoun

What airlines?
You can just sell your house and travel the world for free and live on the plane!
A boofay lelel
I’m triggered by how he says buffet! And then he goes on to say it far too many times! 😒😩😫😖😣 It’s “Bah-fey” not “Boo-fai” (Hermione voice)
If every time you said "inflation", you will earn 100$, then, with inflation, you will be ultra rich.
So you begged for money few people saved you, and now your ungreatfull caus few in millions of people use it
They could of condensed this down to 2min, the rest was dribble.
There's always a Stein that will ruin it for everybody
I don't really see how supertravellers cost AA all that much in fuel. The plane was scheduled to make its flight whether the traveller was there or not; so how much fuel could one additional passenger possibly cost?
If time travel ever becomes a thing, I’m going back and getting one of these things
I expected this guy to get cancer for exposing to too much radiation
Boofay
Ummm.. boo-fet?
LOL! Stop saying "boofay!"
Steven Rothstein: I want some bread from Germany... A'A: Heavy sweating
You do realize that those flights were going to take place anyway, right? Airline employees and their families have been flying free for decades.
steven still got a very good deal
Nobody gonna mention how he pronounces buffet "boo-fay"? Alright...
Boofay lol
Yahoo! Didn't buy Google
With a lifetime pass i could just go to the other side of the world just to take a sh*t
American Airlines handed people the equivalent of a loaded gun.
“Going across continents just to get lunch” is beyond logic
They need to bring this back after COVID if they want to fill the planes again.
Nobody: This dude tryna pronounce Buffet: Boofaye
Honestly the sandwiches at Geoff’s are good enough to fly there for them. I went to a summer program at Brown in high school and just going there a few times makes me wish I went to Brown for college
you wouldn't even need to own a house, you could just live on the plane and eat in flight meals

🤢
It only costs them if 2 things happen. 1. the person uses the pass for trips they otherwise would have paid for it. 2. they fill a seat that could otherwise be sold.
Smart man .id have done the same thing.the narrerater is very good
I would love to get a lifetime pass from ryanair, mainly cuz it be cheaper than 3-5.000.000. And because ryanair goes to the airports I wanna go here in Europe.
The fuck kind of pronunciation of ‘buffet’ was that
Everyone: Buffet This guy: Bhouffet
This somewhat overstates the cost of these passes to American. The basic cost to the airline is the price of tickets for flights the pass holder •would• have taken anyhow, even if he had not held a prepaid pass, and for which he would have bought tickets ad hoc, as he needed to travel (wherever). As for all the •extra• flying the pass holder does, those are flights the airline had scheduled anyhow, so it’s not like American is having to charter a flight for him alone. The cost to the airline turns, instead, on the question of whether first class was booked full on a particular flight: did seating the pass holder mean the airline couldn’t put a (newly) paying passenger in a seat on that flight? Sometimes yes, of course. But first class isn’t always booked full. So, if a pass holder’s presence on a flight isn’t keeping another passenger off the plane, and this is not a flight the holder would have taken without the pass, then the marginal cost to airline is much less than the price of a first class ticket. The added weight of that passenger and his baggage requires the plane to use a little more fuel. He eats some food and drinks some wine. But those costs alone are inconsequential for an airline the size of American. Bear in mind, too, that the money the holders paid up front for the lifetime pass isn’t the airline’s complete compensation for the service (the flights) it will render. It may take decades for a holder to go on enough flights to recover the face-value cost of the pass. But the airline has all that money as soon as the purchase is made. That means the airline gets the use of that money for a long time before the holder’s demand for flights will approach the value of what he paid. If the airline has been smart in how it used that money, and invested it, it will have increased the value it realized from that cash infusion well beyond the cost of the services it ultimately rendered to the holder.
The person owning that Airpass (1:06) is called Hal F. asintere-sting Very noice
If the plane was going that way anyways, how could they pay him to get his lunch? im sure all those planes werent always full.

That's what I was thinking too. The plane isn't making a special trip just for him right?
1:26 "Unlimited Free"? you had to pay$400,000 first...How's that free?
That's how buffet is pronounced you heathens.
Boffet- I love it 💀
Am I the only one pissed at how much pollution those superflyers put into the air
"Boo-fey"
Boo-flay
corporations are not living entities. our political structure however is perverted with greedy sociopaths who've now instated this as law due to lobbying and more corruption. i love how you just accept the absolute insanity that is as if it were yesterday's breakfast. shameful.
Or just get a job at AA
Live in Providence, love Geoff’s
American Airlines: After much trials and tribulation, we have found out that planes need fuel Interesting
How is the company loosing on fuel? The airplane would have to take off anyway, or was it private?
Their mistake was offering a deal to someone whose name ends with "stein". Everything they touch, they try to destroy.
Boofey
they could sell me one of those tickets for 1000 euro and would still make profit.
These days the airlines dont have to sell those passes.. The government will just bail them out..
4:43 Hmm that sounds similar is that the guy from the American revolution?
I swear if I hear boofay one god damn more time
What if American Airlines goes bankrupt?
1.2 mil is also about enough to buy a 2 bathroom house with 3 bedrooms in the bay area
Boo-ffet
I did some rough calculations, and my guess is that they should have sold the passes for at least 10x the price. If the pass costs $1,200,000, and a flight costs, say, $1,200*, that's 1,000 flights to recoup the cost. If a person's lifetime is 50 years from when they purchase the pass, that's only 20 flights per year, split over 2 people is only 10 flights per person. I can see where someone could easily do 100+ flights per year, but I wouldn't have guessed much more than that. *I have no idea how much a first class ticket costs; whatever it is, I'll never be able to afford more than coach.
Mark Cuban gave his pass to his dad... so to make things worse for AA ... they allowed transferring the pass 😂

I remember seeing an interview with him talking about that pass as one of the best investments of his life. I'm sure he got his money worth before he brought his first plane. Haha.
baloney is named after the Italian city of Bologna. yes im fun at parties
Crazy
I want one of those passes...
booffet
Art is confusing.
I'm uneasy with the way you say buffet.
